If you are a writer, author, journalist, screenplay writer, songwriter or aspire to be any of these disciplines this unique and very special 3 day come-together is an excellent opportunity to bump elbows with Pulitzer Prize and other award winning writers. But more than that it's an opportunity to LEARN from those who have been where you want to go! I will be teaching several songwriter courses with my friend Carol Montag. Mr Iowa Conjunto Legend himself, Dave Moore will be teaching a class or two as well as The Weary Ramblers and Jason Walsmith from the Nadas. Pulitzer Award recipient, Art Cullen will be on hand as will Iowa Public Radio's Charity Nebbe. It's a 3 day blitzkrieg that has live concerts and instructional music woven throughout. This event is all inclusive for all ages and happens in one of the coolest areas of the USA: Lake Okoboji in NW Iowa. There are also scholarship opportunities for all ages.
