David G Smith: Upcoming Shows

Aug1

The Songwriter Sessions Series has been up and running since 2019. It's a unique listening room experience patterned after the shows held at the Bluebird Cafe/Nashville where I also perform and host shows. For this show, we're actually featuring two performers that have played the Bluebird with me before. All 3 of us will be on stage at the same time trading songs and stories and just generally goofing off. 2 hours of sit-back-and-relax fun! The GL is under new ownership! Come on down and say hi to Jason and Rhiannon. They are real nice folks! Reservations or walk-ins available.

I personally will not be performing at Alternating Currents this year but one of my songs will. The title track to my new album, Hero Street, is part of the soundtrack of Tammy and Kelly Rundle's latest PBS docuseries installment of their 9-part series by the same name. There will be a screening of this latest episode called: The LAST TO FALL FROM HERO STREET - THE JOHN MUNOZ STORY. Showtime is 11:15a and tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance from The Last Picture House.
