The Songwriter Sessions Series kicks off it's 5th year of "Listening Room" event! The series focuses on what makes the entire music industry go 'round: the SONG! I bring in writers from all around the US, bundle them up with a local or regional writer, and we set up shop on stage in an intimate Bluebird Cafe style in-the-round format. During the show we tell stories, chat with each other, chat with the audience and even get around to singing a few songs! Past featured performers have included Dave Moore, Catfish Keith, Alicia Michilli, Shannon LaBrie, Kevin Gordon and Anne E De Chant. THIS SHOW will feature Carol Montag. Carol has opened for, or shared the stage with, Arlo Guthrie, Michael Johnson, Jim Post, Greg Brown, Priscilla Herdmann, David Wilcox, John Gorka, John Stewart, Cliff Eberhardt, Larry Groce, as well as Three Dog Night. Our third guest will be local QC Folk Favorite, Mark Ridolfi. He is a lifelong journalist as well as an astute songwriter (think Guy Clark meets Bob Dylan) and his 2010 song, “Drawn by Love,” won the Bettendorf Library Civil Rights songwriting contest.
