This newly named songwriter series, formerly called 'Songs & Stories', now goes by 'Songwriter Sessions'. The focus will be on the song....and using it to connect, in a meaningful way, with the audience. The format is the same: three performing songwriters will take the stage (a low-riser that allows the performers to sit with the audience) and take turns playing songs and talking about how they came to be. It's a unique 'listening room' experience and format unique to the QC area. We started the series in 2019, were interrupted by Covid, and resumed the series in March 2022. The format will combine at least one QC area songwriter with a touring songwriter-artist, someone who is, and has been, in the touring trenches across the US and, in some cases, beyond. It is an honor to announce that Lojo Russo and Robert Dietch will join me for this show. QC resident, Lojo Russo has a resume an arm's length long and is a true pro who tours constantly. Robert is Iowa and Nashville connected and is a published songwriter many times over. He's written with some heavies, and some of those heavies have recorded his material.
